The shoulders are adorned with a radiating pattern. Available in polished steel or gold plating, at the same price. Sizes 7 to 13. Find it in our Viking Ring collection.

What the Vegvísir really is

It is almost always presented as "the Viking compass." This is not accurate, and we prefer to be upfront about it. The Vegvísir first appeared in the Huld, an Icelandic manuscript compiled by Geir Vigfússon in 1860—about eight centuries after the end of the Viking Age. The text accompanying it, however, is magnificent: he who wears this sign will not lose his way, even in bad weather, even without knowing the path. An Icelandic symbol from the 19th century, then, whose promise is worth more than the false antiquity often attributed to it.
