In the game, his sword features a legendary gameplay quirk: it is normally held with two hands, and its broken version is wielded differently. The motif of the fallen knight whose weapon is inherited is a recurring theme throughout fantasy — from Sigurd reforging Gram in the Völsunga saga to Aragorn receiving Andúril.
