This type of discrepancy is frequent with him — he was writing two centuries after Christianization, based on sources he reorganized into a system. The "coherent" Norse mythology that we know is largely his work as an editor, not an ancient state of the belief.

📖 To go further: Discover our guide to the tree of life.

♦ Complete Your Viking Collection

Discover other pieces you might like:

Viking Yggdrasil White Tattoo Hoodie

Black and White Viking Skulls and Yggdrasil Hoodie

White and Black Viking Vegvísir Hoodie

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0974/0569/8430/files/sweat-capuche-viking-yggdrasil-vegvisir-blanc-ambiance.jpg?v=1787420735
