The Vegvisir appears in the Icelandic Huld Manuscript from 1860. The legend says: "The wearer of this sign will never get lost in storms or bad weather, even if they do not know their destination." Viking sailors engraved it on the prow of their longships before each expedition.

How long is the chain?
