Delivery times, care, materials, returns: straight answers, no detours and no fine print.

How long will delivery take?
Allow 10 to 20 working days in total: 3 to 5 days of preparation, then 7 to 15 days of delivery to mainland France, 10 to 20 days within the European Union. Every order ships with free tracking, from dispatch to your letterbox. Shipping is free from 49 € in every country we deliver to.
Can I really drink from your tankards?
Yes. All our tankards — wood, resin or horn — come with a food-grade 304 stainless steel liner. No dishwasher and no microwave, though: resin warps and horn cracks. Rinse in lukewarm water, dry straight away, and they will outlive you.
Does your jewelry stand up to water and time?
Yes. We work with 316L stainless steel, sandalwood and real leather. Unlike costume jewelry, it does not rust and does not turn your skin green. You can keep it on in the shower as well as in the rain.
What if the piece is not right for me?
You have 14 days to change your mind, satisfied or refunded. Send us a message and our French support team replies within 24 hours to arrange the return or exchange. You take no risk.

Are your pieces faithful to the Viking Age?
Let us be frank: these are pieces inspired by Norse art, not archaeological replicas. The motifs — knotwork, Mjölnir, Vegvísir, Futhark runes — really do exist, but their design is contemporary. What we guarantee is that we never invent their meaning: our guides draw on the Eddas, the sagas and excavation reports, and always separate what is attested from what belongs to folklore.

Le Comptoir

A Viking shop that explains what it sells

We look for the pieces, then we look for what lies behind them. Every symbol engraved on a ring, every motif on a wall hanging has a story — sometimes attested by the Eddas and excavation reports, sometimes invented in the 19th century by Romantic scholars. We say so either way.

That is why our product pages cite their sources, why our guides point back to the texts and the archaeological finds, and why we would rather write “we don’t know” than fill a gap with a legend. Folklore, yes — fakes, never.

Among online Viking shops, ours has made one choice: to explain every piece. You will find tankards and drinking horns, Viking jewelry, Norse decor, clothing and replica weapons.

Le Comptoir Viking is an independent online Viking shop, opened in December 2025 and based in Paris. There is no physical store: everything goes through this website, and you can write to us at info@le-comptoir-viking.fr.
