A red eye on chiseled plumage

Odin's bird
The raven is the animal of the supreme god. Huginn and Muninn — "thought" and "memory" — fly over the world every day and return in the evening to perch on his shoulders to report what they have seen. The Grímnismál adds a troubling admission: Odin fears that Huginn might not return, but he fears even more for Muninn. Losing memory worries him more than losing thought. US sizes: 7 US ≈ 54 FR, 8 ≈ 57, 9 ≈ 59, 10 ≈ 62, 11 ≈ 65, 12 ≈ 67, 13 ≈ 70. Measure by wrapping a strip of paper around the base of your finger: the circumference in millimeters gives the French size directly. The beak of this ring extends toward the fingernail, so it must be worn in a specific direction.
The raven, between omen and standard
Before being Odin's bird, the raven was a sign read on the battlefield: its presence heralded the dead. The Vikings had made it into a standard — the Hrafnsmerki, a raven banner that Anglo-Saxon chronicles describe fluttering above Danish armies, and which was said to flap its wings when victory approached. Warrior superstition, no doubt; but it says enough about what this bird represented to them.

Is the eye a stone?
Yes, a small red zircon set in the eye socket. It is the ring's only touch of color, and it draws the eye to the head.
Does the beak stick out?
It extends along the top of the finger and forms the point of the ring. It is worn one specific way, with the beak toward the fingernail.
Is the plumage detailed?
Each feather on the nape is chiseled separately, with the recesses blackened to accentuate the relief.
