Did you know?
The most famous skull in theater is not the one people think. In Hamlet, the line "To be or not to be" is not spoken while holding a skull: the skull scene takes place in the graveyard, in Act V, where Hamlet recognizes Yorick, the king's jester, and exclaims, "Alas, poor Yorick!". The two scenes have merged in the collective memory.
