A curled-up fox
The body is compact, the head turned forward, the bushy tail curving up along the flank and closing the silhouette. Each lock of fur is chiseled separately. Stainless steel, approximately 3.5 cm, on a 60 cm braided chain.
A beautiful animal, not a Norse symbol
Let's be clear: the fox has no role in Scandinavian mythology. The animals that matter there are the wolf — Fenrir, Geri and Freki —, the raven — Huginn and Muninn —, the bear of the berserkers, the serpent Jörmungandr, and the eight-legged horse Sleipnir. The fox, however, does not appear. It is a lovely animal piece of jewelry, simply not an amulet. The rest of our pendants can be found in the Viking Necklace collection.
The fox exists in the North — but not in myths
The Arctic fox has lived in Iceland since before humans arrived: it is the only land mammal that the Norwegian settlers found there when they landed in the 9th century. Its fur was long among the goods that Scandinavians traded as far as Byzantium. The sagas therefore mention it as a real animal, hunted and traded — but none give it a mythological role, unlike the wolf, the raven, or the bear. This is a distinction we prefer to make clear: the fox was in the landscape, not in the stories.
The detail of the fur
Approximately 3.5 cm. The body is compact, the head turned forward, and the bushy tail curves up along the flank to close the silhouette. Each lock is chiseled separately.

Does the fox have a place in Norse mythology?
No notable role, and we will not invent one for it. The animals of Scandinavian mythology are the wolf, the raven, the bear, the serpent and the horse — not the fox.
Is the fur detailed?
Yes: every tuft is chiseled, on the body as well as on the bushy tail that curls up along its side.
Is it a men's or a women's piece?
It is unisex. Its moderate size — about 3.5 cm — and its animal motif suit both.
