What sets this set apart
- Open, therefore adjustable: you pinch them onto a finished braid at any height you like, and you can move or remove them without undoing the braid. No other item in the department allows for this.
- The largest diameter in the department: approximately 16 mm, compared to the 6 mm bore of our engraved beads — they can accommodate a thick braid or a dreadlock that beads cannot.

Did you know?
The open braid ring is a universal hair accessory: you close it using pliers or between two fingers, and its tension alone keeps it in place. This is what makes it convenient for dreadlocks, where you cannot undo the strand to slide a bead on. The trade-off is well-known: a sleeve that is opened and closed too often will eventually wear out and lose its grip. Two or three repositionings have no consequences; a dozen will start to show.

How many cuffs are in the set?
Five identical cuffs in shiny silver-tone metal, about 22 mm tall and 16 mm in diameter.
Do I need to slide them on before braiding?
No, and that's the whole point: they're split along their full length. You close them around a braid that's already done, at whatever height you like.
Can they be repositioned?
Yes, two or three times without any problem. Opening and closing a cuff ten or so times, however, ends up fatiguing the metal, which then doesn't grip as well.
Do they have a Viking motif?
No. The diamond lattice is purely decorative and has nothing Norse about it. It's a braid accessory, to be chosen for its function rather than its symbolism.
