In the 10th century, as Christianity spread through Scandinavia, Danish craftsmen in the same workshop manufactured molds capable of casting both Christian crosses and Thor's hammers — a mold of this type was found at Trendgården, Denmark. Both symbols coexisted on the same workbench, for a clientele that had not yet made a choice.
