A ring that spins between your fingers
The outer ring of this medallion, engraved with Futhark runes, spins freely around a central gold-plated disc embossed with a Valknut. The same soothing principle as spinner rings, transposed to the neck. Stainless steel and PVD gold plating, approximately 3 cm, on a 60 cm braided chain. Find it in our Viking Necklace collection.
The Valknut, a symbol that keeps its secret
Three interlocking triangles, drawn in a single motion. It is found on the Hammars stone in Gotland, on the Oseberg ship bed, on the Tängelgårda stone—always near scenes of death or figures linked to Odin. What archaeologists observe, they state; what they do not know, they do not invent: the precise meaning of the Valknut is not established. Our article on the Valknut reviews the facts.

How does the rotation work?
The outer ring engraved with runes turns freely around the gold-tone central disc. It is the same principle as spinner rings: a soothing, absent-minded motion you can make with the tip of your thumb.
What does the gold-tone symbol in the center represent?
A Valknut: three interlocking triangles. It is found carved on the Hammars stone on Gotland and on the Oseberg ship, always near scenes linked to Odin and death. Its exact meaning is still debated.
Does the gold tone last over time?
Yes. It is a PVD coating, much more durable than conventional gilding. Avoid abrasive products on the gold-tone parts.
