The stone comes almost entirely from the same South African desert

What sets this piece apart
- Chatoyancy is visible in motion: when still, the stone is brown; on the wrist, each bead ignites a moving band of light.
- The crowns are gold-toned, not silver: the warm metal complements the honey of the stone rather than clashing with it.
- Elasticized design: it slips on with a single motion and removes just as quickly.

Did you know?
Tiger's eye from all over the world comes from nearly the same place. Commercially viable deposits are concentrated in the Northern Cape province of South Africa, around the Griqualand iron belt, where layers of blue asbestos-rich rock have been silicified on a massive scale. Australia, Burma, India, and Brazil also produce it, but South Africa has long supplied the bulk of the global market. Therefore, it is highly likely that the beads in this bracelet and those of any other tiger's eye you encounter come from the same desert.
To explore further, our Viking bracelets feature the same concept in ten different stones, and our Viking jewelry covers the rest of our collection.

Where does tiger's eye come from?
Mainly from the Northern Cape province of South Africa, which long provided most of the world market.
Why does the stone seem to move?
Its fibrous structure reflects light in a band that moves when you turn your wrist. This is called chatoyancy.
Is the central bead a stone?
No, it is an orange glass bead, framed by two gold-tone crowns.
How is it different from the brown tiger's eye?
The shade. This one is honey and golden, the other darker and more contrasted. It is the same stone at different degrees of oxidation.
