It was the sign for sulfur long before it was anything else
A round openwork top bearing a double cross set on a lemniscate — the sign shaped like a figure eight lying on its side. Stainless steel, silver-tone or gold-tone finish. The design is cut out, so the skin shows through.

Did you know?
This symbol has had two lives. The first is alchemical: the double cross over the sideways eight is the sign for sulfur, one of the three principles of Western alchemy along with salt and mercury, and it has appeared in treatises since the Middle Ages — Nicolas Flamel knew it. The second began in 1969, when Anton LaVey took it up for his Church of Satan and gave it the name “Leviathan Cross”. Seven centuries separate the two uses, and the medieval engraver who drew it was thinking of a mineral, not a cult.
To go further, our Viking Ring section gathers the other designs, and our Viking jewelry the rest of the shop.

What does this symbol represent?
Originally, alchemical sulfur: the double cross over a lemniscate is one of the signs of the three principles, along with salt and mercury.
Why is it also called the Leviathan cross?
Because Anton LaVey adopted it in 1969 for the Church of Satan. The sign is much older than that: it appears in medieval alchemical treatises.
Is the motif openwork?
Yes, entirely. Only the outline of the symbol remains, with no background.
What sizes are available?
