Did you know?
The six-pointed star, or hexagram, circulated in the Middle Ages under the name Seal of Solomon, in both Jewish and Muslim magic treatises. The oldest complete manuscript of the Hebrew Bible, the Leningrad Codex, copied in 1008, already contains one on a decorated page. It did not become established as a general emblem of Judaism until much later, in the 19th century.
