Four Talons Closed Around Your Cup
This dragon chalice doesn't simply stand: it is held. Four clawed talons rise from the foot and clutch the bowl like prey, while a massive chain runs around the stem, riveted link by link. On the front, a medallion struck with a dragon's head. Three colors for the same sculpture: forge black, ice blue, ember red. Find it in our collection of Viking chalices.
What Sets This Piece Apart
- Double wall: an outer shell of sculpted resin and a removable food-grade stainless steel inner liner. Your drink only touches the metal.
- Three colors, one mold: the sculpture is identical, only the patina changes. Black keeps it understated, while blue and red make every scale stand out against the silver of the medallion.
- Chain sculpted in the round: the links are carved out individually, not engraved flat. You can feel the relief under your fingers as you turn the chalice.
- Talons as a grip: the four claws naturally form rests for your fingers. It is the most secure model in the series to hold.
- Real weight in the hand: 442 g empty. A far cry from a costume-party cup.

Did you know?
Chains hold a special place in Norse mythology, and the most famous one is called Gleipnir. After the wolf Fenrir had broken two iron fetters, the gods ordered a binding of a different kind from the dwarves. The Gylfaginning gives the recipe: the sound of a cat's footfall, a woman's beard, the roots of a mountain, the sinews of a bear, the breath of a fish and the spittle of a bird. Soft as a silk ribbon, and unbreakable. And that, the text says, is exactly why none of these six things exists anymore.

Dragon, skull or warrior: which design to choose?
| Design | What the cup shows | Who to give it to |
|---|---|---|
| Dragon this product | Body coiled around the stem, wings spread, set gem; from smooth low relief to full sculpture | The widest and most crowd-pleasing choice: fantasy fans, gamers, collectors |
| Skull and bones | Curled horns, membranous wings, stacked vertebrae, friezes of small skulls | For a dark decor you already embrace, and for autumn and Halloween tables |
| Warrior and helmet | Bearded face or nasal helm in high relief, crossed axes, knotwork at the foot | The most understated and most historical register: saga readers, fans of Viking series |
| Raven | Red-eyed bird perched on a skull, frieze of feathers and small bones | A targeted gift, for someone who recognizes Huginn and Muninn without being told their names |
| Goat and pentagram | Baphomet head inside a pentagram on a red background, frieze of skulls | An occult, non-Norse register, for those who embrace this imagery; 600 ml, a 500 ml bottle plus the head |
Are the three colors exactly the same sculpture?
Yes. Black, blue and red come out of the same mold: only the patinas differ. The choice is purely aesthetic; the dimensions and capacity are identical.
Is the chain around the base a real metal chain?
No, it is sculpted in the resin, with the links carved out in full relief. So it does not move and will not scratch your table, but you can clearly feel the relief under your fingers.
Is it safe to drink from?
Yes. The inner liner is made of food-grade stainless steel and comes out completely. Your drink never comes into contact with the resin.
Which color should I choose?
Black is the most understated and goes with everything. Red is the most striking on the table. Blue is in between, often chosen for role-playing game tables where everyone can spot their own glass from across the table.
