A Norse Helmet Struck in Bronze
The cup is finished entirely in dark bronze and circled by a sculpted rope. In the center, a Norse helmet with a nasal and eye guards, framed by horns; below it, a silver wolf's head clutched in a talon. The flared stem widens into a foot decorated with knotwork. The most understated of the Viking chalices in the series. Find it in our collection of Viking chalices.
What Sets This Piece Apart
- Double wall: an outer shell of sculpted resin and a removable food-grade stainless steel inner liner. Your drink only touches the metal.
- Controlled monochrome: everything is bronze except the wolf's head, left in silver. A single focal point, which makes the piece easy to read from a distance.
- Sculpted rope: the rope circling the neck is twisted in the round, strand by strand.
- Wide foot: the flared base gives better stability than the average piece in the collection.
- Real weight in the hand: 442 g empty. A far cry from a costume-party cup.

Did you know?
The watchman of the Norse world is called Heimdall. Posted at the end of Bifröst, the bridge linking Asgard to the land of men, he sleeps less than a bird, sees a hundred leagues by day and by night, and hears, according to the Gylfaginning, the grass growing in the fields and the wool on the backs of sheep. He is the one who will sound the Gjallarhorn to announce Ragnarök. A god whose whole role lies in waiting.

Dragon, skull or warrior: which design to choose?
| Design | What the cup shows | Who to give it to |
|---|---|---|
| Dragon | Body coiled around the stem, wings spread, set gem; from smooth low relief to full sculpture | The widest and most crowd-pleasing choice: fantasy fans, gamers, collectors |
| Skull and bones | Curled horns, membranous wings, stacked vertebrae, friezes of small skulls | For a dark decor you already embrace, and for autumn and Halloween tables |
| Warrior and helmet this product | Bearded face or nasal helm in high relief, crossed axes, knotwork at the foot | The most understated and most historical register: saga readers, fans of Viking series |
| Raven | Red-eyed bird perched on a skull, frieze of feathers and small bones | A targeted gift, for someone who recognizes Huginn and Muninn without being told their names |
| Goat and pentagram | Baphomet head inside a pentagram on a red background, frieze of skulls | An occult, non-Norse register, for those who embrace this imagery; 600 ml, a 500 ml bottle plus the head |
Is the bronze solid metal?
No, it's a bronze patina on sculpted resin. Only the inner liner is real metal: removable food-grade stainless steel.
Did Viking helmets really have horns?
No. Not a single one has ever been dug up; the only nearly complete Viking helmet, the one from Gjermundbu, is smooth. The horns come from costumes created for Wagner in 1876. This piece therefore openly embraces modern iconography.
What is the capacity?
About 200 ml, weighing 442 g empty and standing 18 cm tall.
How do I care for it?
Hand-wash the steel liner and wipe the resin with a damp cloth. Heat dulls the bronze patina: no dishwasher, no microwave.
