A Design That Only Reveals Itself at Two Meters
This Viking tank top plays with restraint: a large grey Vegvísir in the center of the chest, framed by two ravens with folded wings, all printed in shades of grey on a deep black. At five meters, you see a black tank top; at two, everything appears. Find it in our collection of Viking tank tops.

Did you know?
Although the Vegvísir is associated with navigation, no source connects it to the sea. The note that accompanies it in the Huld manuscript speaks of a man who will not lose his way "in storms and bad weather, even if the path is unknown to him" — a terrestrial formula, intended for a traveler caught in an Icelandic blizzard much more than for a sailor. The association with drakkar ships is a 20th-century interpretation, added much later.

Choosing your size
The manufacturer provides no size chart for the tank tops in this range. We would rather tell you so than publish a measurement chart we would have made up.
The method that never fails: take a tank top or a T-shirt you already wear and that fits you well. Lay it flat and measure from one armpit seam to the other. Write this number down: it is your benchmark. You are comparing one garment with another, without going through a theoretical size, and theoretical sizes are precisely what vary from one manufacturer to another.
The cut runs small: narrower in the shoulders and shorter in the body than a European cut of the same size. If you are between two sizes, take the larger one: this is the advice that avoids the most returns.
Available sizes vary by model. Thirteen tank tops go from S to 6XL, two from S to 5XL, and the muscle-cut one stops at 2XL. Check the drop-down list on the product page before ordering: it is the one that counts.
A word about the letters. Beyond XXL, these labels follow no common standard: a 4XL, 5XL or 6XL has no fixed equivalent, and the same letter does not mean the same thing from one manufacturer to another. Do not trust the letter, trust the centimeter.
Is the design high-contrast?
No, and that is the idea: gray on black gives a design you can make out from a distance and read up close. It is the most discreet model in the section.
How many ravens are in the design?
Two, placed on either side of the Vegvísir, wings folded toward the center.
Does the back repeat the same design?
The back carries the same composition, slightly less dense, without the knotwork border.
Is the black a true black?
Yes, the background is a deep black. The gray of the design is printed on top, hence the matte finish.
