Split in Two, Diagonally
This Viking tank top splits the torso with a diagonal line: one light half, one dark half, and straddling the border is a Valknut encircled by runes. On the black side, a raven spreads its wings toward the shoulder. The knit contains elastane, making it stretchy. Find it in our Viking tank tops collection.
The other model with stretchy knit is the Vegvísir and dark interlacing.
What Sets This Tank Top Apart
Out of fourteen models in pure polyester, only two add elastane. You can feel the difference at the shoulder.
- Stretchy knit: the fabric follows the range of motion instead of pulling, which is the very purpose of workout gear.
- The only two-tone: the light and dark diagonal splits the garment in two, whereas the other fifteen use a single background color.
- A straddling symbol: the Valknut is placed on the border of the two zones, anchoring it into the composition rather than just sitting on top.
- Eight sizes: from S to 5XL.
For a Valknut on a solid background and a more classic fabric, see the Valknut and torches.

Did You Know?
The Scandinavians had a codified sporting practice: glíma, a belt-wrestling style still practiced in Iceland today. The sagas mention it regularly, and the Grettis saga provides detailed scenes of it. It was distinguished by an unusual rule—the fighter had to remain upright and fell the opponent by unbalancing them rather than charging them. The word survives in the Prose Edda in a mythological form: it is the old woman Elli, Old Age, who brings Thor to his knees in a test of glíma.

Which tank top to choose?
| Type | What it looks like | When to choose it |
|---|---|---|
| All-over print, black and white | The design covers the whole garment, front and back, in two bold tones without color. | The core of the range: nine designs, from S to 6XL, the widest size range of the three families. |
| All-over print, gold or color | The same full coverage, but with gold, brick red or slate blue. | When the garment is meant to be seen. Four models, the most striking in the series, and the only ones that go beyond black and white. |
| Stretch knit or muscle cut this product | Two models whose knit contains elastane and moves with you, plus one muscle-cut model that covers the shoulder. | When the garment is really for training, or if thin straps don't suit you. Note: the muscle cut stops at 2XL. |
Choosing your size
The manufacturer provides no size chart for the tank tops in this range. We would rather tell you so than publish a measurement chart we would have made up.
The method that never fails: take a tank top or a T-shirt you already wear and that fits you well. Lay it flat and measure from one armpit seam to the other. Write this number down: it is your benchmark. You are comparing one garment with another, without going through a theoretical size, and theoretical sizes are precisely what vary from one manufacturer to another.
The cut runs small: narrower in the shoulders and shorter in the body than a European cut of the same size. If you are between two sizes, take the larger one: this is the advice that avoids the most returns.
Available sizes vary by model. Thirteen tank tops go from S to 6XL, two from S to 5XL, and the muscle-cut one stops at 2XL. Check the drop-down list on the product page before ordering: it is the one that counts.
A word about the letters. Beyond XXL, these labels follow no common standard: a 4XL, 5XL or 6XL has no fixed equivalent, and the same letter does not mean the same thing from one manufacturer to another. Do not trust the letter, trust the centimeter.
What does the elastane (spandex) add?
Stretch. The knit moves with you instead of restricting the shoulder, which matters in a training garment. The thirteen polyester-only models do not contain any.
Why is the garment split into two colors?
The design divides the torso diagonally: one light half, one dark half, with the rune-circled Valknut straddling the line. It is the only two-tone model in the range.
Is there a raven?
Yes, on the dark half, with its wings spread toward the shoulder.
What sizes does it go up to?
From S to 5XL, which makes eight sizes.
