From skull-pommel to point — the most theatrical piece in the collection
A curved and flared blade covered in relief skulls along its entire length, a crossguard in the shape of a skull, a black scale-textured grip crossed by a red groove, and a skull pommel. Nothing about it is understated, and that is the whole point.

What sets this piece apart
- Skulls everywhere: pommel, guard, flat of the blade. This is a piece with a gothic and heavy metal aesthetic, not a historical replica — we are upfront about that.
- A flared blade: it widens toward the point before curving back like a fang. A fantasy design, very photogenic from the side.
- The lowest price in the collection: it is also the lightest and shortest of our swords, perfect for a first costume.
- It is not a weapon: no sharp edge or pointed tip. This replica is made for costumes, reenactment, and display.

Did you know?
The skull as a weapon ornament is almost absent from the ancient world — and for a simple reason: in most warrior cultures, death is not worn, it is feared. The motif exploded elsewhere much later: in 18th-century military iconography, then in 1970s heavy metal and 1980s role-playing games. Among the Scandinavians, what you engraved on a weapon were interlace, beasts, and runes — not bones. The skull motif is a recent language, and it is effective: it can be read from ten meters away.
To learn more, our anatomy of a Viking sword allows you to compare this design to that of a blade actually forged in the North.

Does this sword cut?
No. PU foam with a rigid core and no cutting edge: it is a costume and decorative replica.
Is this a Viking motif?
No. Scandinavian art engraves knotwork, beasts and runes. The skull as a weapon ornament comes from modern military imagery, and later from metal music and role-playing games.
Is it suitable for a first costume?
It is the shortest and lightest of our swords, and the least expensive. For a child, it is still an accessory to be handled under supervision.
How big is it?
About 56 cm overall, with a 38 cm blade.
