Two Dragons Face to Face
This Viking sweatshirt places two red dragons in mirror image on the chest, jaws open toward each other, bodies stretching out toward the shoulders. Their tails meet at the bottom of the torso and tie into a single knot — the composition holds together as one piece. The rest of the garment is treated in black and dark red scales. Find it in our Viking sweatshirt collection.
For a single dragon spread across the whole torso, see the black and white model.
What Sets This Sweatshirt Apart
Two figures facing each other must answer each other exactly, or the symmetry turns clumsy.
- A binding knot: the tails of the two dragons meet in a central knot — that is what turns two motifs into a single composition.
- A softer knit: the acrylic and elastane add a stretch that polyester alone does not have; the garment hangs less stiffly.
- Deep red, not primary red: the crimson keeps its substance against the black, where a bright red would have turned garish.
- Up to 5XL: one size more than most of the range.
To stay with the red and black palette but with a human figure, see the blood-red Odin model.

Did You Know?
The beast with two confronting heads is not just a decorative principle: it appears on dated objects, such as Borre-style brooches in which two animals grip each other. Art historians see it as the mark of a system of composition rather than a narrative iconography — the Scandinavian craftsman started from a frame, often circular or almond-shaped, and fitted the beast or beasts into it, twisting them until they filled the space. The shape of the object dictated the animal, not the other way around.

Which print style to choose?
| Print type | What it looks like | When to choose it |
|---|---|---|
| Placed design | The body of the sweatshirt stays plain: the design is limited to the chest, the sleeves and the back. | When you want to wear the garment without the design ruling your day. It is also the only model available in fourteen color and ink combinations. |
| All-over print | The fabric is printed before assembly: front, back, sleeves, hood and right up to the seams. | When the garment is meant to be seen. Fifteen different designs, all in polyester, from 2XS to 4XL. |
| All-over print, finer artwork this product | The same full coverage, but a more detailed drawing and an acrylic, polyester and elastane knit. | When you look at a garment up close before buying it, or if polyester alone feels too stiff. Sizes up to 5XL, and up to 6XL for the zip-up model. |
Choosing your size
The manufacturer provides no size chart for the sweatshirts in this range. We would rather tell you so than publish a measurement chart we would have made up.
The method that never fails: take a sweatshirt you already wear and that fits you well. Lay it flat and measure from one armpit seam to the other. Write this number down: it is your benchmark. You are comparing one garment with another, without going through a theoretical size, and theoretical sizes are precisely what vary from one manufacturer to another.
The cut runs small: narrower in the shoulders and shorter in the body than a European cut of the same size. If you are between two sizes, take the larger one: this is the advice that avoids the most returns.
A word about the letters. Beyond XXL, these labels follow no common standard: a 4XL, 5XL or 6XL has no fixed equivalent, and the same letter does not mean the same thing from one manufacturer to another. Do not trust the letter, trust the centimeter.
Are the two dragons identical?
They're mirror images: the same creature, flipped. Their tails meet at the bottom of the torso and form a single knot, which ties the composition together into one design.
How does this knit differ from the other sweatshirts in the collection?
It contains acrylic and elastane in addition to polyester, which makes it a little softer and stretchier than the 100% polyester models.
Is the red bright?
It's a deep red, leaning toward crimson, not a primary red. It stands out against the black without being overpowering.
What size does this model go up to?
Up to 5XL, one size more than most sweatshirts in the collection, which stop at 4XL.
