A Wolf Watching You
This viking wolf t-shirt features a white wolf's head seen strictly from the front, occupying the upper chest, with a Vegvísir in fine lines placed below it and an interlace design that goes up onto the shoulders. The composition is frontal and symmetrical. Find this model in our viking t-shirt collection.
For the same symmetry with two animals instead of one, see the confronting wolves.
What Sets This T-Shirt Apart
A perfectly symmetrical pattern forgives no misalignment: it is the toughest test for garment printing.
- Aligned axis: the animal's gaze falls exactly on the collar axis, which is far from systematic in this type of printing.
- Vegvísir at the bottom: the symbol occupies the stomach area, often left empty, and balances the mass of the head.
- Sublimation: the coat's fur is rendered in fine lines across the width of the bust, without clogging.
- Lightweight polyester: a crisp white that remains crisp, which printed cotton loses within a few months.
If you are looking for the same subject in a colored version, the turquoise wolf features the same head-on view in blue.
Choosing Your Size
These measurements are for the garment laid flat, not your body. The width is measured from one armpit seam to the other; the chest circumference is this width multiplied by two. Allow for a tolerance of one to two centimeters: these garments are measured by hand. The manufacturer does not document the measurements for XS.
| Size | Width flat | Chest circumference |
|---|---|---|
| XXS | 48 cm | 96 cm |
| S | 50 cm | 100 cm |
| M | 53 cm | 106 cm |
| L | 56 cm | 112 cm |
| XL | 59 cm | 118 cm |
| 2XL | 62 cm | 124 cm |
| 3XL | 65 cm | 130 cm |
| 4XL | 68 cm | 136 cm |
| 5XL | 71 cm | 142 cm |
The foolproof method: take a t-shirt you already own and that fits you well. Lay it flat and measure from one armpit seam to the other. Enter this number in the Width flat column: no calculations needed. You are thus comparing a garment to a garment, without relying on a theoretical size — and it is precisely these theoretical sizes that vary from one manufacturer to another.
The cut runs small: narrower in the shoulders and shorter in the body than a European cut of the equivalent size. If between two sizes, choose the larger one: this is the advice that prevents the most returns.
A word on the letters. These sizes follow a specific nomenclature, and beyond XXL, standard Western ready-to-wear hardly uses them: a 4XL, 5XL, or 6XL does not refer to any standard common size. Worse, the same letter does not mean the same thing from one manufacturer to another: in this category, an "L" ranges from 94 to 112 cm in chest circumference depending on the model. Do not trust the letter, trust the centimeter.

Did you know?
The Vegvísir, this eight-branched circle presented everywhere as a "viking compass," is not Viking at all. It appears in only one document: the Huld manuscript, compiled in Iceland in 1860 by Geir Vigfússon, which collects late magical signs. Eight centuries separate this manuscript from the Viking Age. The symbol is truly Icelandic; it belongs to a real and documented tradition of galdrastafir — but from the 17th to the 19th century, not the 9th. We offer it because it is beautiful and has a history; it is simply not the one often attributed to it.

Is the Vegvísir a Viking Age symbol?
No. It only appears in the Icelandic Huld manuscript, compiled in 1860 — eight centuries after the Viking Age. It is a late Icelandic galdrastafr, not an ancient Norse sign.
Is the design large?
The head takes up the upper chest across almost its entire width, and the Vegvísir fills the lower area. It is a generous print.
Is the animal a wolf or a husky?
A wolf: a longer muzzle, shorter and rounder ears, and fur drawn in locks rather than short hairs.
Can this model be worn under a jacket?
Yes, the main design stays visible in the opening of a jacket, since it is centered high on the chest.
