This Viking Mjölnir t-shirt plays with black on black: Thor's hammer and its rune-circled medallion are printed in a tone barely lighter than the background, so the design only appears in grazing light or up close. What Sets This T-Shirt Apart
A successful tone-on-tone effect relies on a very precise value gap: too slight, and the design disappears; too strong, and the effect is lost.
- Mastered gap: the gray of the design is just enough above the black to be readable at one meter and disappear at five — that is the intended effect.
- Runic medallion: the hammer is inscribed within a circle of runes that structures the chest and provides scale.
- Sublimation: a tone-on-tone screen print would be a registration nightmare; digital printing makes it possible.
- Lightweight polyester: a smooth surface, essential for the value gap to remain consistent across the entire garment.
If you are looking for discretion in cotton rather than polyester, the iron gray Odin emblem plays in the same register.
Choosing Your Size
These measurements are for the garment laid flat, not your body. The width is measured from one armpit seam to the other; the chest circumference is this width multiplied by two. Allow for a one to two centimeter tolerance: these garments are measured by hand. The manufacturer does not provide measurements for size XS.

The foolproof method: take a t-shirt you already own and that fits you well. Lay it flat and measure from one armpit seam to the other. Enter this figure in the Width flat column: no calculations needed. You are thus comparing garment to garment, without relying on a theoretical size — and it is precisely theoretical sizes that vary from one manufacturer to another.
The cut runs small: narrower in the shoulders and shorter in the body than a European cut of equivalent size. Between two sizes, take the larger one: this is the advice that prevents the most returns.
A word on the letters. These sizes follow a specific nomenclature, and beyond XXL, off-the-rack Western sizing hardly uses them: a 4XL, 5XL, or 6XL does not correspond to any common Western size. Worse, the same letter does not mean the same thing from one manufacturer to another: in this category, an "L" can range from 94 to 112 cm in chest circumference depending on the model. Do not rely on the letter, rely on the centimeter.

Can the design really be seen?
Up close and in daylight, yes, clearly. From several meters away or in a dimly lit room, it fades almost completely. That is the intended effect.
So is it a plain black T-shirt?
