The World Serpent on your wrist: a dragon biting its own tail
An Ouroboros bracelet in stainless steel, made of articulated scales that follow the curve of the wrist. The dragon's head is the clasp: its jaws open, take hold of the tip of the tail and close again, like Jörmungandr, the Midgard Serpent who circles the world biting his own tail. Six finishes, from polished steel to gold-tone, in 19, 21 or 23 cm.
Find it in our Viking bracelets section.
What sets this piece apart
- A hidden clasp: no visible lobster clasp, the dragon's jaws close the bracelet by biting its tail.
- Articulated scales: each link pivots on the next, so the bracelet follows the wrist despite its size.
- Stainless steel: it does not turn skin green, is not bothered by water or sweat, and keeps its colour.
To match it, see our Viking Ouroboros Necklace, Intertwined Dragons or our Jörmungandr Viking Snake Ring.

Choosing your length
Measure your wrist with a tape measure, then add 2 to 3 cm: the bracelet is thick and needs room to move. The 19 cm fits wrists up to 16-17 cm, the 21 cm up to 18-19 cm, the 23 cm up to 20-21 cm. Between two sizes, take the larger one. Our Viking bracelet guide explains how to measure.
Did you know?
In Norse mythology, Jörmungandr, a child of Loki, was thrown by Odin into the ocean that surrounds Midgard, the world of men. He grew so large that he ended up circling the whole earth and biting his own tail. At Ragnarök, Thor will kill him, but will die from his venom after nine steps. The image of the serpent biting its tail, the ouroboros, is far older than the Vikings; Norse mythology made it the World Serpent.
To explore further, our article on Ragnarök tells of the last fight between Thor and the serpent.

How does the bracelet close?
The dragon's head is the clasp: its jaws open, you slip in the tip of the tail, then close them again. No lobster clasp is visible.
Which length should I choose?
Add 2 to 3 cm to your wrist size: 19 cm for wrists up to 16-17 cm, 21 cm up to 18-19 cm, 23 cm up to 20-21 cm. The bracelet is thick: between two sizes, take the larger one.
What is it made of?
Stainless steel: it does not rust, does not turn skin green and can handle water. The blackened and gold-tone finishes are surface colourings on the steel.
What is the Ouroboros for the Vikings?
It is the serpent biting its own tail. In Norse mythology, it takes the form of Jörmungandr, the Midgard Serpent, so large that he circles the world of men biting his own tail.
What is the difference between the models?
The same bracelet in six finishes: polished steel (smooth, shiny scales), chiselled steel (finely textured scales and head), blackened steel, gold-tone crest (a row of gold-tone scales along the back), gold-tone head, or fully gold-tone.
