A Face Only Seen in Relief
This grey washed denim cotton viking cap features an Odin face embroidered in a thread from the same grey color family as the fabric. Did you know?
Odin is the god of poets as much as warriors, and mythology explains why: he stole the mead of poetry from the giant Suttungr, transforming into an eagle to escape. The Skáldskaparmál recounts that he spat out a portion of it along the way — that part, says the text, fell to "bad poets." The Scandinavians therefore had a term for failed verse: it came from the lost portion.

Choosing your size
There is no size to choose. The six caps in this range are one adult size, adjusted with a strap at the back. They fit the vast majority of head sizes, from the smallest to the largest.
If you still hesitate: measure your head with a soft tape measure, just above the ears and eyebrows. A circumference between 54 and 60 cm fits easily within the adjustment range. Above 62 cm, the strap reaches its limit.
The three washed denim models (Yggdrasil, Odin and Valhalla) have a softer visor than the other three and bend without breaking. It is a difference in feel, not in size.
Care: hand wash at 30 °C only. Machine washing and spinning distort the visor, and the tumble dryer marks the washed fabrics.
Is the design very visible?
No, that is the intent: the thread is in the same family of grays as the fabric. You make out Odin's face through its relief rather than its color, like an embossing.
What exactly does the design show?
A bearded, helmeted face, seen from the front, drawn in a few embroidered lines. It is a stylized figure, not a detailed portrait.
Is the gray even?
No, the washed finish creates uneven shades across the whole cap. Each piece differs slightly.
Can it go in the washing machine?
We advise against it: the brim's structure and the washed finish do not handle the spin cycle well. Hand wash at 30 °C.
