The Handle Itself Is a Dragon

On this dragon tankard, the handle isn't an add-on: it's the dragon's own body coiling around, its tail curled into a scroll and its claws gripping the side. On the body of the tankard, a second dragon with outspread wings guards an iridescent gem set in a gold-tone mount. The rim and base are ringed with knotwork. 450 ml, in forge black, ember red or glacier blue. Find it among our Viking tankards.

What Sets This Piece Apart

  • Double wall: a sculpted resin outer shell and a removable food-grade stainless steel inner liner. Your drink only touches the metal.
  • Zoomorphic handle: it offers a real full-hand grip, unlike decorative handles that are too narrow.
  • Iridescent gem: set in the center of the body, it changes color depending on the angle.
  • Three colors, one mold: only the patina changes. The black stays understated, while the red and the blue bring out every scale.

Complete the table with our Viking chalices or a natural yak drinking horn.

Did You Know?

In the Norse world, beer was women's business. Brewing was done at home and fell to the húsfreyja, the mistress of the house, the one who wore the keys at her belt. She was also the one entitled to a highly codified banquet gesture: presenting the cup, starting with the most eminent guest, then following the order of rank. In the texts, the Valkyries serving mead to the warriors of Valhalla are merely the heavenly counterpart of this earthly protocol.
