A Serpentine, Wingless Dragon

This dragon is like no other in our shop: a long, serpentine body with no wings, five claws, a jagged dorsal crest, and flowing whiskers. It emerges from a swirl of sculpted clouds, and its body forms the entire handle of the mug. An iridescent gem is set on the body. 500 ml, in pale gold or bronze. Find it among our Viking mugs.

What Sets This Piece Apart

  • Double wall: an outer shell of sculpted resin and a removable food-grade stainless steel interior cup. Your drink only touches metal.
  • Dragon body handle: the tail hooks to the bottom of the mug, the head hangs over the rim. The grip is formed by the loop of the body.
  • Bas-relief clouds: the swirls cover the entire surface and serve as a background for the dragon, with no smooth areas.
  • Two finishes: pale gold provides an antique gilded bronze look, while bronze offers a darker, more contrasted finish.
  • Hand-applied patina: the recesses remain dark, while the edges catch the light. No two pieces are exactly identical.

Complete the table with our Viking chalices or a natural yak drinking horn.

Did you know?

The Far Eastern dragon, the lóng, is almost the opposite of the European dragon. It has no wings yet flies; it does not breathe fire but commands the rain and the rivers; it does not guard treasure in a cavern but inhabits the clouds and the seas. Most importantly, it is benevolent: associated with the emperor, fertile harvests, and good fortune, whereas Fáfnir or Beowulf’s dragon are plagues that must be vanquished. Two imaginaries that share the same name and two opposite beasts.
